The following the recipe for the Cassia Obovata. Please be informed that there will be many variations of the following recipe. The below steps will give you a broad guideline

Mix Cassia Obovata powder in lukewarm water. Stir the mix continuously to avoid any lumps. The resultant mix should be like a batter. Optionally you may add henna for different texture.
Apply this paste to your dry hair directly. It will be good it the hair are combed, so that there all no loops. Start from the scalp, moving upward, trying to include every hair with this cassia paste.
After you are done, now for the best results, cover your hair with something so that it keeps the moisture and dampness in the hair. Keep it for at least an hour to 90 minutes.
Rinse your hair property so that the Cassia paste is removed completely.

Just a few tips;

You may use a latex glove and brush to keep your hands clean.
Use a shower cap to wrap your hair.
To get other textures and tines you may add henna leaf powder and/or Indigo.
